Vitamin Angels is a charitable organization dedicated to improving childhood nutrition world wide.  

Vitamin Angels was founded by Howard Schiffer in 1994 to mobilize and deploy micronutrients, especially vitamin A, to children worldwide. Targeting children under five, the essential nutrients supplied by Vitamin Angels enable the children to fight infectious diseases and blindness, attain good health and grow into adults capable of leading meaningful and productive lives.

Select Nutrition supports Vitamin Angels by donating ad space in their monthly catalog and holding raffles at the UNFI Table Top Shows throughout the year, with the average raffle raising over $1,000. At the 2011 UNFI Northeast Table Top Show, the raffle raised $6,500 for Vitamin Angels—a record!
